This information should be helpful is choosing the right equipment for your families needs. The first thing you need to determine is how many TV’s you will want to view independent programming on at the same time. You also will need to determine the programming that meets your families viewing needs and budget. We always recommend that you come into our showroom and speak with one of our sales consultants. Miles, Eric and I are each trained installation/service technicians and can assist in helping you choose equipment, programming as well as system design. You cannot get this kind of service by signing up for service over the phone. It is expensive to make changes to your system at a later time so it is very important to choose the right equipment at time of activation. You must evaluate your current needs as well as potential future needs.

WHATS NEW AND CURRENT SPECIALS

New activating customers have a choice of two promotions. You can either choose three (3) credits of $12 off the base programming package or the first month free of your base package. Those choosing the top60 ($31.99) would find an added advantage in selecting the $12 discount offer. You may also choose to have HBO/SHOWTIME AND CINEMAX free for three (3) months as well. If you choose the premium movie option you must drop them from your account after 3 months to avoid being charged after the 3 month special expires. This is solely the responsibility of the customer and is done by contacting Dish Network and expressing this intent to change your programming.

NEW AND CURRENT TECHNOLOGY

DISH NETWORK has recently introduced POCKET DISH. This exciting new technology allows you to transfer recorded events from your DVR hard drive on to it’s hard drive as well as downloaded video, photos and songs from other sources. For more information see dishnetwork.com or visit our store for a demonstration. DVR (Digital Video Recorder) technology is the most significant invention in TV entertainment ever. In DIGITAL HOME ADVANTAGE DVR is offered as a free upgrade. There is a $4.98 monthly feature fee for as long as the unit is in service. This fee is waived on the Americas Everything Package. DVR technology allows you to electronically process your TV programming. By utilizing a large hard drive you can delay (pause) live programming and then continue to view from where you left off up to 1 hour. You can use this time lapse to skip through commercials as they arise until you are brought back to live viewing. The unit will also automatically record up to an hour of the program you are viewing provided you have not changed the channel. This gives you the advantage of instant replay. This is especially useful when watching sporting events and movies as well as allows you to return to the beginning of an event and initiate recording from the start. A DVR 625 can record and store up to 100 hours of digital programming on its hard drive without the use of tape or disk. This information can be transferred or eliminated at any time opening up more time for recording. Recording events as well as play back is far easier than using a VCR. If you consider the cost of video tape and maintenance of a VCR as well as the extended uses of a DVR you will soon find the $4.98 fee to be money well spent. We highly recommend coming into our showroom and seeing for your self how these units’ can change how you view TV for the better before deciding against it. Most customers find it to be the best value in their monthly entertainment budget. There are currently two DVR units available. In the DHA promotion we offer the 625 dual tuner DVR that store up to 100 hours combined on 2 different TVs independently. On the 625 there is only 1 DVR fee ($4.98 a month*) but you have the feature on 2 tuners making this your best choice for this technology. A DVR 625 also has the added advantage of not having a additional receiver fee $5) provided a permanent phone line is supplied to the unit. The new 625 DVR features VIDEO ON DEMAND. This feature allows you to purchase pay per view events instantly with out waiting for the next scheduled showing. Because of the large hard drive this unit will have additional uses in the future such as compatibility with the new POCKET DISH. Dish Networks most exciting DVR is the new 942 dual tuner HIGH DEFINITION receiver. The 942 has all the benefits of the 625 except that tuner 1 is a HIGH DEFINITION tuner. This is the only unit of its type any where in that it can record HD TV and provide service on 2 TVs independently. The 942 retails for $699 and is offered on the DHA promotion for a one time $250 lease upgrade paid to the dealer at activation.

CURRENT PROMOTION

Stingray offers the DHA 18 month promotion. With the DHA18 the customer pays a one time $49.99 upfront fee to Stingray at activation or authorizes Stingray to put this fee on the card supplied for application. Unlike other dealers as well as Dish Network we do not charge this fee when we run an application. I feel that this charge should not be paid until the installation and activation is completed. The $49.99 upfront fee will be credited back to you on your first bill which will be for your first two months. You will receive a credit for the first month of your package as well. The package credit will be for the package itself and not the DVR and/or outlet fees and taxes. There is no lease fee on the first receiver and dual tuners are exclusive to this plan. The added advantage is that if a permanent phone line is connected to the receiver a second outlet fee is waived ($5 month) this is an added advantage over Direct TV and digital cable where a fee applies to each box past the first one with Direct TV and all digital boxes with cable. If more than two tuners are required (to view more than two TV’s independently) DHA is your best value as another 322 dual tuner unit can be included for a $5 a month lease fee and the forth tuner fee will be waived as well provided the phone line is connected. The total cost for service fees on the DHA plan with phone lines connected would be $5 for 3 or 4 tuners and $0 on 2. An added advantage of the dual tuners DVR is that only one $4.98 a month fee will apply yet the feature will be on 2 TV’s. So if you are considering DVR technology DUAL TUNER RECIEVERS are a great choice.

DHA 18 MONTH COMMITMENT PROGRAM

This is the same as the DHA program but has a 18 month commitment for service. The reward for this commitment is that you will receive 18 months of the Dish Home Protection Plan (see brochure for details) valued at $5.99 a month. You also will receive a $49.99 credit on your first bill that does not apply with the no commitment offer. Stingray only offers the 18 month commitment plan and will charge no service call fees for the full 18 months with this promotion. (See warranty for details and exceptions)

WARRANTY

Warranty and services provided under the DHA promotion is as follows. Your equipment is leased and not owned and no buy out option is available. The equipment will be repaired or replaced at no charge to you as long as the equipment is in use and the account is active. Stingray will arrange replacement of receivers (remotes and accessories are warranted directly by Dish Network) if needed for the first 6 months. After 6 months all equipment is replaced by Dish Network directly. You will receive a free DHPP service plan for 18 months free with the DHA 18 month promotion. You will also receive a free DISH MOVER in the event that you move. If you have DHPP on your account you will not be charged a shipping fee. A $14.99 advance exchange shipping fee will apply if DHPP is not on the account. Standard warranty by Dish Network includes service calls for the first 180 days after this a $99.99 charge will apply if service call is done through Dish Network. Services charges are discounted to $29.99 if a customer has DHPP on the account. To receive the exclusive STINGRAY no service call fee for 18 months you must contact Stingray directly during our normal business hours for a scheduled service call appointment. If an emergency service call is needed and/or it is under the warranty exclusions a $29.99 service fee will apply.

STINGRAY’S EXCLUSIVE NO SERVICE CALL WARRENTY EXCLUSIONS

ACTS OF GOD : 1) Damage to dish caused by wind, ice, snow, fire or water that is beyond control of Stingray. If a dish has to be mounted in an area where potential damage can occur if snow and ice build up is not prevented, due to a line of sight issue, the customer shall be made aware of the situation. 2) Realignment of dish due to excessive wind , snow, ice or heaving of structure due to seasonal changes ( While rare it is a potential problem with mobile homes on pads or decks without proper support or footings) the first incident within the first year will be covered and the customer will be made aware of the problem. Continued on next page 3) Physical damage to the system such as dropping the unit. Water or liquid damage of any type (do not suspend plants above units) including damage by pets. Damage to dishes caused by hitting the dish with shovels rakes or vehicles or trees dropping in front of or falling on dish. 4) Issues caused by integrating or hooking up additional components to the system after the initial installation such as adding a DVR player or adding or replacing a TV on the system. Modifying the wiring or relocating the equipment to a different location than was originally selected. 5) Service calls required due to remote control such as address changes reprogramming due to lost codes (when changing batteries) or reprogramming to new TV’s and other devices. Stingray can resolve most remote issues over the phone with the customer’s cooperation at no charge. While this covers most issues it may not cover all any warranty or non warranty charges can be can be waived with Stingray management approval. We have a history of being extremely generous in regards to these issues. We do not intend to profit from you under these circumstances but simply cover our cost if needed.
